UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues - NYC
The Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung—New York Office is proud to present a collaboration with MADRE, an NGO focusing on women’s issues, inviting a group of indigenous women leaders to participate in co-organized events surrounding the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) taking place in New York City from May 20-31, 2013.
Two public events, on Monday May 21st at the United Nations and on Thursday May 23rd at UNICEF, will allow for indigenous women to speak about gender-based violence in their communities, and also to develop capacity and leadership training to work on such pressing issues.
