JUNE 2-4: RLS–NYC AT THE LEFT FORUM

This year’s Left Forum, the largest annual leftist gathering in North America, will be taking place from June 2-4 in New York City. In support of alternative political visions from across North America and Europe, we’ll be hosting five panels this year on mapping the left in Europe and North America, feminist organizing, sanctuary cities, Karl Polanyi, and deep-sea mining. 100 DAYS OF TRUMP

#nobanEthan Young offers his clear-eyed analysis of the first months of the Trump regime by being as blunt as possible: "Any argument that this represents a continuation of even 'normal' Republican politics is belied by what we have thus far seen."

CfP: AMERICA’S SEMINAL RED SCARE

#noban The Russian Revolution is usually considered a watershed between the “long” 19th and the “short” 20th century. Events in Russia obviously had a tremendous impact on the United States as well. A conference at RLS–NYC from October 13-15, 2017 will try to shed light on the multiple perceptions of the Russian Revolution in the United States since 1917. We therefore invite scholars, whose research focuses on this topic, to submit paper proposals. For details, visit our website.
